Our Approach:

The treatment program is designed by highly experienced therapists and physicians to deploy a holistic and highly specialized evidence based therapeutic modalities and individualized treatment plans tailor made to meet the needs of each client. The idea behind the treatment is to provide people with an intensive and immersive experience that addresses the physical, psychological, and spiritual deficits that addiction inflicts.

The program adopts the Minnesota and the Matrix models in the treatment of SUD, among others. The Minnesota Model is an abstinence orientated, comprehensive, multidisciplinary team approach to the treatment of addictions, based upon the principles of Alcoholics Anonymous. It espouses a disease concept of drug and alcohol dependency with the promise of recovery, but not cure, for those who adhere to it. The program is intensive, offering group therapy, lectures, individual counselling, family education support and other methods. Its origins and content are distinct from the ‘Concept Houses’ and the wider Therapeutic Community movement, but it incorporates themes held in common with both of these treatment approaches. The Minnesota Model is typically characterized by a thorough and ongoing assessment of all aspects of the client and of multimodal therapeutic approaches.

The Matrix Model is a structured, multi-component behavioral treatment model that consists of evidence-based practices, including relapse prevention, family therapy, group therapy, psychoeducation, and self-help, delivered in a sequential and clinically coordinated manner. The Matrix Model is a 16-week intensive treatment model for drug addiction. It was developed to treat cocaine and methamphetamine users, but it can be implemented in the treatment of any type of substance use disorder and has even been adapted for residential inpatient settings.
